April 2009
| Description: | At the beginning of April, we were still in Panama; the small piece of driftwood I attached was found on one of the many beautiful beaches there. I used a piece of Variscite as my cabochon for the month, not for any particular reason other than I really liked the colors. I followed the pattern in the material when I beaded the three stripes and two flowers with pearls centers. I used the blue twisted bugle beads to passover the flowers in order to represent the holiday of Passover. In addition to the pearls, I used turquoise, aquamarine rondelles, and Swarovski crystals. I had another great health report but I had already finished this piece, so there is not any smiley face or bright cheerful colors to memorialize this very happy event. |
